Is Kimbia out of line? Why should we send money to another country and not our own education system? Are there not needy children right here? Part of the answer has to lie in the attitudes of Americans. Many people feel entitled to free handouts, "the government owes us more" attitude, despite pathetic work habits and personal selfishness. I think many people are more likely to want to donate to third world projects because they see and sense the optimism, gratitude, appreciation, and positive attitudes that many third world societies seem to exhibit. As Americans it is more, more , more... everyone wants something for free. Of course there are some positive, hard working attitudes in the U.S., but is the percentage that great?
