Hello Letsrun world. I am a high school 3000m runner with a past riddled with injuries. I have been running about 50-60 miles a week, with a set of mile repeats, a tempo run, and a long run per week. I have had stress fractures, tendonitis, and have had to take off way too much time in my short career. I have resolved to take every other sunday off from running to help prevent injuries.
The problem is that i have weekly meets, which usually land on a tuesday or wednesday. If i take the sunday before the meet off, will this effect my performance? Should i go by a different rule of taking a day off to prevent this?
Any other information or tips or solutions would be greatly appreciated.
