How hard is it to train in Oklahoma? I mean, how humid/hot is it? How hard is it to avoid the heat? How about rain?
Can someone just give some info on training in the weather of Oklahoma (mainly OK city)? thanks

I'm from the NorthEast and have been there 4x, primarily the Norman Area.
From May to October: very hot, 97 degrees F+ is pretty standard, can be humid at times, too. MAJOR t-storms plus the odd twister now and then during this time frame. Hey, you're partway in 'Tornado Alley' but I have never seen one personally. Do your runs in the early AM or in the evenings.
FANTASTIC cloud formations if you're into that. Breathtaking stuff if you have a digital camera. Amazing sunrises and sunsets.
Winters can be raw with the odd flurry now and then, or ice storm, but are not generally as bad as up here. Fall and Spring are terrific. Predominately flat terrain, hills are few and far between.
Nice people. Learn to like OU or OSU football and hoops.
WINDY! And hot as F*CK during the summer (know a guy in Norman who complained about his 90+ swimming pool). Probably hard to avoid the heat at times, but otherwise no easier or harder to train there than other places.
How about during the school year?
Well from about August to October it is hot and that is about it, this year we had a bad winter for our standards and it got down into the teens in Jan. and Feb. From about March to May it is usually hella windy and can get hot. Example today it was 80 and the wind was about 20-25 with gusts from 35. Then during the summer get ready for 100's from june through Aug. Training is good if you can work around the elements and in OKC there are plenty of trails and stuff that can get you out of the wind.
Are the women nice as well?
The answer to that question would be yes!!!
Spring- Windy or Raining or both
Summer- Hot and Humid
Fall- Dusty and Dry
Winter- Bitter Cold alternating with teasing nice weather.
are they good looking or do they have a tinge of inbredness in them?
we have impregnated all of you human creatures
Lets not get carried away here. It is blazing hot but it isnt 100+ every single day for months. Take a look at the averages. July and August are BRUTAL. Outside of that the climate isnt very bad outside of wind. I love how everybody in the south takes the worst 5 day heat wave of the year and says that is the norm. It's bloody hot there though! Even when you run in the early morning in the summer it is so damn humid that it is uncomfortable.
Where are you moving from. If you are moving from a climate with no humidity Oklahoma would be a giant shock in the summer. If you have lived with hot and humid summers before this wouldnt be much of a shock.
