Anybody know if he is back to any sort of training or is he still not running? It would be a shame if he missed outdoor because of this.

He is running on the alter-g treadmill daily in Portland.
should be ready for racing in 3-4 weeks.
“By reducing my athletes’ effective body weight using the G-Trainer, they have increased their training volume by up to 25%, without increased risk of injury. This has enabled our runners to compete at their highest level ever.”
Alberto Salazar, Director of the Nike Oregon Project
Former marathon world record holder
Still no real data on Alter-G.
Alberto is still equating volume increases w/ performance improvements?
OMG ALberto hasnt learned that this sport is all about intensity. You think after all these years he would learn something. I agree with you dsrunner.
So, if I run 30m/w and train myself so that I can run a screaming set of quarters, am I all set?
Just trying to figure out what you mean by "all about intensity".
And why can't they do intense workouts on this treadmill? Seems to reason that if you are reducing stress on the lower body, you can do some really good aerobic system training. Given the reduced impact, you would need to compensate for this by running at altitude. So you put the G trainer in a CAT system and crank it to 12K feet and run. You get an intense workout with less pounding.
