Does anyone have an idea of what running on Bald Head Island might be like? I'm going to be there all summer and I need to be running alot.

All summer? good lord, either that's en expensive vacation or you are working out there! There are bike paths throughout the island, that's it. I doubt if you can get 5 miles in without repeating, perhaps less. Pretty hot and steamy.
Not many places to run in Wilmington area - will you have access to a car on the mainland? I can give you a couple of places to drive for longer runs.
We'll be at Kure Beach sometime in June or July for a couple of weeks - we only run at Carolina Beach State Park on the Carolina Beach Island. You can run about an hour in there without repeating, trails are sandy, pine needles, but it is way better than running the beach roads.
write back - I'll give you some ideas.
16x has it right. At any rate, you'll be in a great place for the summer, just not a great running place.
Carolina Beach State Park has some nice trails, but of course are limited. The dune buggy routes off Dow Rd. are fun, but the sand gets old quickly.
I have family that live in Kure Beach, so I've spent some time down there. Running is the last thing on my mind there, as it's somewhat tough to get quality miles in. I just take it as a rest time when I'm there.
BCG,
I have family on F avenue and 5th street.
