On my first trip to Maui in 1995, I woke up in the middle of the night with a sharp pain on my side. I stumble to the bathroom, and see two little punctures on my stomach. I woke up my wife (now ex) and told her to look at it. We looked in the bed and found nothing, but under the bed was a 6" centipede. Sucker bit me! I covered it with a bowl, and called the front desk. A maintenance guy picked it up by the head with a pair of pliers, took it outside an crushed it.
The next morning, I had to go to a doctor for a tetanus shot, and the hotel did upgrade our room.
oh what the fuc.....never seen anything like that before
Incredibly disgusting. The most vile creature on the face of the earth.
Eeek, I didn't know they could get that big...or bite you!
It was no worse than a bee sting in terms of pain, but if you remember ever getting a tetanus shot, that was the pisser. I had to go the whole vacation with an achy left arm.
