I am sure you're not alone, they cancelled 215 total flights today.
What is the deal with that company?!?
Damned if you do and damned if you don't seems to apply here.
Would you have rather have risk spending 10 hours stuck on the taxiway like last storm's Jet Blue customers?
yeah but isn't it snowing like hell?
and i agree...that beats getting stuck on a runway. that's waht makes me want to kill. if i was you, i'd be glad they spared you that misery.
yeah i was able to book a flight for tomorrow morning out of PA, hopefully that one doesnt get canceled too. Also have friends sitting on the runway in NYC.
im going to miss a race though. bastards.
consider yourself lucky....i left me on a runway for 10 hours they'd wind out taking me out in handcuffs after i lost my mind.
Does this effect any of the athletes that are planning on running the 8k?
The WORLD XC curse continues!! you guys screw around and ditch Worlds for usatf 8k? F' that, I'll shut your race down!!!
-evil running witch
well you could check the weather: there is a major nor'easter cranking up the East Coast right now

I cannot see how JetBlue will survive this. I would not want to book a flight with them based on their recent history.

Delta cancelled 250 flights.
US Airways cancelled 414 flights.
American Airlines cancelled about 120 flights.
Continental's not talking.
Geez, what's wrong with JetBlue. Gosh, I don't know. Maybe the weather?
We're going fine here in Ra Ra Rand, it'll be 79F today.
I flew on Jet Blue to a race a and thought it was awesome. Individual satellite TV for every seat, more legroom than most in coach...it was nice. I also live near NYC and the conditions were terrible driving this morning. I doubt that Jet Blue execs woke up this morning and said, "Hey, lets be bastards and not fly today." Despite modern technology, you can't just do whatever you want whenever you want it.
what if jet blue was stuck on a treadmil for 10 hours?
would they still suck?
CYA. Jet Blue loses money if jets don't arrive at the destination, they have to pay for the fuel, labor, and pass out vouchers. Jet Blue looks at the bottom line first and played it safe. For the bottom line, cancel hundreds of flights and defer the income for better weather. That's Jet Blue's rationale.
Well, I don't know if you read the news recently about the CEO almost breaking down in tears after people were stranded on runways for hours upon hours.
Stock has been stellar lately.
The tears were for money he lost that day. He could care less about the cattle and the cattle car drivers.
People, relax... NYC is getting hit with some really crappy weather, it's not JBlue's fault, several other airlines have cancelled flights as well.
