I've heard that not consuming enough calories can slow your metabolism down and cause you to gain weight. I had an eating disorder several years ago that definitely messed mine up. Of course I lost a lot of weight and kept it off for a while, but as I recovered from the ED, I gained it all back. I need to lose some of it again, but obviously in a healthy way. I am finding it extremely difficult to do so and I think it's because my metabolism is so screwed up. Is there any way to fix this problem with medicine or something? Is it a thyroid problem maybe?
