Who's running this weekend? Is anyone starting to worry about the weather?
High: 66 °F RealFeel®: 64 °F
Considerable cloudiness with showers and thunderstorms possible...
yes I am...worried sick. 60s is way too warm, add rain and wind in there and it'll add to the challenge.
i think i would rather have 60 and rain than low 50s and rain which is predicted on monday. hope that doesnt come in early
Yeah, the wind would really not be fun but I always battle with feeling as though i don't need fluids when it is cold and wet and then pay for it later. Just have to force it down. Hopefully a good race though.
Remember that Austin was in the 20's last year with rain and some icy/sleet conditions and that seemed fine.

Hold on there, cowboy. Houston start is 7am. Figure high 30s/low40s.
Remember it's pretty chilly in downtown Houston with all the wind. The start and first couple of miles are always windy and chilly, then it warms up very quickly, obviously. Best bet is to dress warm and have someone in the crowd to catch your clothes around mile 5 when it might warm up.
... But should be a good time. Good luck to everyone running, the crowd support is really great!
Is it still concrete out near Rice?
No, black top/asphalt. And temps will get cooler as race progresses.[quote]malmo wrote:
I remember last year it was pretty chilly at the start, but more than halfway through it my dad and I were peeling off layers.
... then again it's Houston. The weather can say one thing Saturday night and it can be something completely different Sunday morning. Best just to come warm and strip layers if you need to.
Not looking much better...
