I thought Bekele said last week he was not running world cross. Did he change his mind?
Nut-sucker Pam thinks it's all a sneaky ploy to make everyone overconfident of their chances in Bekele's absence and then at the last minute he'll trick them all and show up and remove his disguise at the starting line.
Actually the winner will be Craig Mottram. He has been training in the great barrier reef and says after running there, he could win a race anywhere.
Mo Farah in senior race, looked easy yesterday and beat Kogo recently. You heard it here first
Farah wont win but could place top 5 or 6 if he runs well.
tariku is the one this time
Kenny B if he runs, if not Sileshi S
Paula Radcliffe for the women
don't know much about juniors
What's the best that Farah has ever done previously at WXC, when the field was split?
Not fantastically well... but that's about as relevant as Farah's past CHESS performances. He's a totally different runner now...
paula radcliffe is expecting a baby in january or february so that does not give her much time for worlds cross country, i pick z. tadesse for the men if k. bekele really does not run, for the women kidane will upset her teammates t. dibaba, burika and defar, dan lincoln will be the first usa man in 12th place, kastor the top usa women in 10th place, kenya will win the mens title wether or not k. bekele runs, ethiopia will win the womens title. kenya will win the both junior races, acosta will be the top usa junior in 7th place in the mens junior race, and jordan hasay will redeem herself by finishing 4th in the girls junior race.
Doug
I would love to the Americans you named place that high and if Deena run she definitely could place in top 5. Jordan Hasay will be better than at Footlocker as she is peaking for World Jrs but 4th may be to optimistic. She have to contend with 3 Ethiopian and 4 Kenyan girls that have run 14:47 to 15:30 and a Bahrain girl sub 32:20 10km.
The USA girls team could be the strongest of the 4 teams if: Jordan Hasay, Aurora Scott, Kathy Kroeger, and some college freshmen who are still juniors go out and make the team.

Yes
Senior Men: Tadesse
I hope Ritzenhein, Hall, Abdirahman, Cabada, Jorge Torres, and Dobson make the team.
Will Adam Goucher run?
kenyans will dominate all events. NO double about it. with home crown fans around, sorry, these guys will destroy the rest of the world. WELCOME TO MOMBASA GUYS.!!!! The beatiful kenya city on the coast.Be sure to be entertained by the famous Maasai dances, and dont leave without visisting Kilimajaro, Massai Mara, and some other fun places to see.
i agree with you 75% kenya will dominate 3 of the 4 events, but i dont see how ethiopias senior women can lose, look at the runners tirunesh dibaba, e. dibaba, g. burika, b. adere w. kidane, s, ejigu, meseret defar, b, bekele and lots of others, remember this year there will be 9 runners with 6 scoring as opposed to last year when teams could only have 6 with 4 scoring, ethiopia's girls last year won both the long and short course races even though t. dibaba dropped out of the short course and meseret defar did not race, but set a 5k road record the following week. i think ethiopia will send their very best this time to try to beat kenya in kenya.
Uh...Kiliminjaro is in Tanzania. But Massai Mara is nice.
add meselesh melkamu to the list.
