Does anyone know if there has been any NAIA sub 4 milers? Who and when? Thanks for any help.

I bet you taht NAIA has more sub 4 milers than d1 because NAIA has better running competition than d1...its a lot deeper too
did i mis somthing?
Pretty sure Maurice Smith ran sub-4 at Adams State when they were NAIA. Not 100% sure, though.
Absolutely. Life, Lubbock days. Some amazing 800m times. Shirif Karie ran NAIA for a couple of years prior to Arkansas. And I'm not sure he ever won a title (he may have). One of last years top HS milers is now running NAIA at Cedarville. What is the 1500 conversion 15-16 seconds? I think it is safe to say that many NAIA runners could have broken 4 mins.
d3 south-
If you don't have anything important to say....don't say anything at all...thanks

The standard conversion is 15.13 seconds for someone running at 4 minute mile pace. While many have claimed that it "unreasonable" that a runner should be able to exceed his 1500m race pace for a full 1609m, both empirical studies and breakthroughs in string theory have confirmed that the correct conversion for a 4 minute miler is 3:44.87 +/- .08 seconds.
This new conversion is currently under consideration at the IAAF, who has long since used the 3:42.18 standard as a "4 minute mile" conversion.
seriously, whats with all the NAIA bashing on this website I have never read a full thread about NAIA competition without somebody making a tallest midget comment or blaming steriods.
NAIA is great...its so fast..im serious when i say i think VIC couldve won nats in d1...seriously...they were so deep...and I think if u put david cheromei in d1 he would also win no problem
You are a fuking douche bag and that is why you run d3 and DON"T get any scholarship money.

Now I'm not too informed about you as a poster, but if you honestly think that VIC could have won D1, then you are a complete f***ing moron. They would barely be in the top 10.. maybe not even top 20. Cheromi would be about as high up as his little buddy whom he ran a "sub 29 10k tempo with on the trails" McDougal... Probably not top 30 though
Can you say, "Mike Boit"?
One if the greatest middle distance runners ever, who got screwed out of two Olympics.

Hmmm that’s interesting I could have sworn that string theory was a physics theory that had absolutely nothing to do with running at all.
I know this is not a sub four mile but Dennis Savage who went to my high school ran a 4:01 for Westmont College in the 70s.
explain to me how VIC would not win nats??they have the best coach in the country and obviously have the most talent..how do u think they won 3 in a row??b/c they kno how to win at any level.....and cheromei did run sub 29 and so did mcdougal idk y ud think their lying...you dont kno anything about running obviuosly...

You are correct. It has to do with rips in the fabric of space that permits unusual movement.
Lindenwood had three athletes go on to run sub-4....albeit after they left LU.
Sharif Karie - Arkansas
Gezachew Yossef - Texas Tech
Brashar Ibrahim - UTEP
Gez and Brashar did however run sub 3:44 while they were both at Lindenwood. I think the fastest Sharif ever ran at LU was 3:48 1500 and 4:07 mile (when he won the NAIA Indoor Mile in 1998).
That is a solid group there!

I think you can add, Randitch, Bungei, Wilford, Sawe.
