How can you go from this:
"Neither piece has ever been worn."
to this:
"I'm a standard Nike medium and both pieces fit perfectly."
He's got ya' on that one.
Tried on vs. Worn There is a difference

I agree. Worn implies "raced in".
I'm just curious, how did you obtain that uniform?
It is agaist kenyan law to sell official kenyan Uniform. Some people got in trouble last year for selling track suit in kenya resembling official kenyan attire for olympics,If they will find that, whoever is selling migth find himself in a very very complicated situation.
kenyan as NOT contracted any middle man with NIKE. Sorry.
What makes you think he is in Kenya? He's shipping from West Virginia
NO I am NOT sayin he is from kenya, but I AM PASSING A POINT ACROSS. WHOEVER IS SELLING MIGTH FIND HIMSELF IN TROUBLE.
I guese from back door. Since it is NOT sold in kenya, and ONLY athletes who have represented the country in Olympics, or WC have it.
So you're saying Kenyan officials are going to come to the US and knock on his door in West Virginia? The seller is in no trouble.
ever heard of free enterprise?
trouble, schmubble
you're full of b.s.
always thought Nike coulda sold a lot of those singlets
Whether the seller "gets in trouble" or not, it is a sad situation. Kenyan athletics is desparately under funded. It is well publicized that when the Kenyan sports authorities spend precious funds on things like official uniforms, a significant number end up being sold in the black market by officials rather than being used for the athletes that need them. Boycott this sale.

Then "tried on" should have been specifically stated, not implied from the text I quoted in my first post.
FWIW, I remember seeing these at a Nike outlet many years ago (along with USA singlets/shorts). I thought about getting them then, but decided I would look like a pansy if I ever wore them. Missed out on what could have been a small money maker!
I thought someone said that the uniform is from a past Olympics? So ... in this case it is being sold after the fact, rather than before it gets into the hands of an athlete. How would boycotting the sale help anyone if the uniform is out-dated?
Who would wear this uni in a race anyhow?? If someone showed up to race in this at a local 5k/10k and did not win by a huge margin, I would mock them for a good hour or two at least. Especially if it was a middle aged white dude.
I've seen those uniforms in Nike Outlets. In fact, I have a singlet in my possession. I think it is quite lame, though.
satch would look good in it ...
Hahaha, you guys are great! How can you help but laugh at the idiocy of half of the posts on here. I got the uniform at an outlet about 8 years ago or so. It's been "tried on" for a couple minutes but never "worn" for a run, race, or any period of time. I'm a middle-aged white dude who'll probably never again win even a local race which is why it's never been "worn", gotta agree with the pansy post. That should clear everything up. Time to pack now as I've decided to skip town for fear of the undercover double secret Kenyan uniform police, thanks for heads-up.
