Hey can someone help me out with the basics of pool running. I noticed my pool has the aqua runner belt, but that's it. I saw on the website the full kit includes floats for your feet and hands. Are these necessary for training correctly? I plan on being in the pool running for maybe 15-20 mins 3 times a week, can anyone suggest a routine to follow. Also, am I supposed to stay stationary or actually do normal laps, only floating and vertical?
Also, I have some problems with shin splints on the inside of my shin. I know this topic has been covered hundreds of times and I can see that stretching and strengthening seems to yield the best results. Does using the kickboard for strengthening help reduce the occurrence of Shin splints in this area (inside, medial?) and how about duck walks and foot tapping? I feel as if only the outside and front of my shins are being strengthened, can anyone add some insight. Thank you.
