I was watching the Cavs get thrashed Saturday night and then "witnessed" them wake the hell up as LeBron put them on his shoulders for the win.
Some knob in the stands had a sign that read "I am now a witness." They kept putting him on camera and each time he got more and more wound up. Him, sign/banner makers, face painters, the costumed, and the shirtless....What is up with that? I can't understand that kind of rabid and insane devotion for a sporting event.
Sure, I go to a few games of various sports, watch the locals when I can, check the stats and when any of the local HS sports are in the play offs I try to make a game and read highlights. But I don't get this over the top crap.
Do they tape the game and review it to see how many times they are on film? Do they talk about it until the next game while they spend the week planning out their next sign? Do they buy tickets that will give them the best chance to be on film?
