All you people saying that Weldon is either toast or "never was" don't really know the heart of a runner.
If I had run 28:10 last year, right now I would be doing everything possible to get down to 27:59 or less.
I don't know Weldon from the man-on-the-street, and I dont know his current status, (injured?), but what I do know is about the passion of a struggling runner.
Maybe he'll have a rough couple of years, but he'll be back SCREAMING FOR VENGEANCE.
My own personal hell lasted about EIGHT years, but I was always trying to get on the road back to good performances. I believe that Weldon is also trying to find the road back.
