But it does, since the body is used to extreme training. Overcompensation will almost always occur if we continue with our normal high carb diet.
You have to trust your body. I did absolutely humongous mileages on the bike when I was 19 years old. These rides and other such extreme rides and runs have given me the confidence to assert what I am saying.
Lots of other runners believe the same as me, ask a cross section of experienced Marathon runners and you will see what I mean.
