Hey guys, I've got a 1000m time trial coming up tomorrow and I'm looking for some predictions.
Here are my best times so far this season:
400m in 51 seconds during a workout
800m in 1 minute 54.70 seconds in a time trial.
Here are some of the workouts I've been doing:
8 sets of 400m at a 63-second pace with 60 seconds of rest in between
15 sets of 200m at a 30-second pace with 45 seconds of rest in between
Last week, I did a 700m run in 1 minute 39 seconds with a 5-minute break followed by a 400m run in 56 seconds
I also did a 7km run in 22 minutes and 30 seconds with a pace of 3 minutes and 12 seconds per kilometer
Additionally, I ran a series of intervals: 700m in 1 minute 43 seconds, 600m in 1 minute 28 seconds, 500m in 1 minute 16 seconds, and 4 sets of 200m at a 27-second pace all with 5minutes rest in between
None of these workouts felt particularly challenging, considering my previous personal records of 1 minute 51 seconds in the 800m and 2 minutes 26 seconds in the 1000m. However, I had a tough season last year due to mental health issues, so this year I've been taking things slow and steady.
