Thanks. But unless I’ve gone batsh*t crazy the lead battle in the third leg is Dos Santos (in black) VS…. Fahnbulleh (in yellow)?
That's Knighton not JoeyFahn.
I guess I’ve gone batsh*t! Thanks for continuing to follow up, now that you pointed it out and I do finally see reality, I’ll get back to the thread topic….
44.4 is solid! but it’s still a relay split (and seemingly an unofficial one, at that). I do dream of Knighton becoming a 200/400 star so maybe this is a sign of what’s to come.
Now for the typical negative commentary: could the official results and announcing be any less useful?!
And 38 years ago in April, Roddie Haley ran a 43.5 split while in college. Do you really think a guy who produces a 19.5-19.8 under average conditions every time out wouldn't be capable of 45.2 in the open 400m?
I think Knighton could easily become the best 400m runner in the world. VanNiekerk was able to exploit his speed first 200, go to the edge and not lose control through the last 50 where he just walked away from everyone. In lane 8.
And Jeremy Wariner wasnt too shabby either.
