Hi all
Wondering if anyone can offer advice if they've had anything similar. I tore my soleus back in October, rehabbed it fine, but ever since running again in Jan I've suffered with constant ache (toothache like) in the top of my foot. It's just a consistent ache that puts you off your day, particularly bad in the evening after running to the extent that I've just given up as it's affecting my quality of life having it on my mind and feeling it so much. To manually push the foot there doesn't appear any direct sore spots, i.e. nothing obviously bone related, it just feels very deep and achy in the foot. An all day inflammation for want of a better phrase.
Anyone had anything similar? Is this what extensor tendinopathy feels like? I've been rehabbing with lots of foot exercises (towel grabs / ankle band work etc) but all it seems to do is flare it up. My current thinking is to just quit everything (exercises included) and let the body figure itself out.
Thanks!
