In my state, most varsity track meets are on Fridays, and I was wanting to get an opinion on what a weekly schedule should look like a HS distance athlete (1600-3200)? Keep the two workouts, tweak them, or only do one workout a week (especially going into championship season)
Week 1:
M: Workout 1: Intervals @ 1600 pace
T: Recovery Run
W: Workout 2: Aerobic + speed (Ex: 4x200 @ 800)
Th: Recovery Run
F: Meet (3200)
Sa: Long Run
Week 2:
M: Workout 1: Intervals @ 3200 pace
T: Recovery Run
W: Workout 2: Aerobic + speed (Ex: 4x150 @ 400)
Th: Recovery Run
F: Meet (1600)
Sa: Long Run
