bluf: I have extremely poor starts when sprinting, I need a good workout that will help improve this.
I've been spending the past month learning how to sprint and while my 200m time is O.K. at 24.7 my starts are extremely weak. I was able to run with the sprinters a few days ago and it felt like everyone was warping ahead of me at the line, even without blocks. How do I bring my starts up from truly abysmal to "just ok"? I'm cognizant that my first step is way shorter than other people my height.
I've read a bunch of guides on how to start but somehow I'm still extremely poor. I'm open to the idea of needing more power or force production, but I'm in no way weak right now - my squat and deadlift are at 1.5x and 2x my bodyweight and I can get a sled up to pace with 2x my bodyweight
