Please help with this. Had to step up to head coach after old one left/got fired. It’s taken me months to even get an idea.
Two week cycle. For mile and 2 mile. Girls and boys
WEEK 1
M: threshold reps + 200s
T: easy run
W: easy run + strides
T: VO2 max workout
F: easy run
S: easy long run
S: off
WEEK 2
M: easy run + strides
T: CV/10k pace reps or threshold reps + 200s
W: easy run
T: easy run
F: ???
S: easy long run
S: off
So I have no idea what to put week 2 Friday. Want to do some speed work/faster stuff (sorry I know people hate that term but I don’t know what else to call it). Any examples?
What should go on that Friday???
Any other critiques??
Does it look too intense?? Just right??
Also long runs have to both be easy I think because I don’t want to overcook them.
