Looks like there are a couple men in this year's Boston elite field who cheated their way in at the 3,000-foot-downhill St. George Marathon. First we have Dustin Bybee, who just got into the elite field with a 2:19:48. His non-cheater best? 2:51:44 at Boston, barely good enough to get in the regular field.
Second is Jonathan Kotter, also squeaking in with a 2:19:00. His best non-cheater race in the last five years was 2:34:34 at Boston last year.
I wonder what kind of comps these guys are getting? I would be embarrassed to start with the elites if I were them. Anyway, anyone starting in Wave 1 be on the lookout as you pass these guys!
