Sara Vaughn is the only female account that Bowerman IG follows that sticks out as not being a current athlete, former athlete, photographer or partner to male athlete on the roster
Recent NCAA Runners that might make sense given the picture: Lauren Gregory joined Northwoods last fall, but maybe looking for a more track focused team for a couple years to give it a go. Already a Nike athlete.
Izzy Thorton-Bott, OU alum.
Plourde/Venters are both at UAC so unlikely just one is switching teams
Kaylee Mitchell or Grace Fetherstonhaugh, OSU grads with some moderate success at the national level.
Cailie Logue from ISU, made a world cross team, scored in the 5k been working as a grad assistant.
Logue is a good thought; I think I'll go with her as my pick as well. She wouldn't have to give up any final NCAA eligibility, as the OSU athletes likely would, and she isn't currently sponsored. This would be the perfect time to announce her addition to the team, considering she's about to compete at World XC.
Oh wow, I hadn't opened the newsletter yet today. It doesn't seem like BTC intended for The Lap Count to be the first to break the news. Seems like whoever handles PR got the timing a little wrong on this one.
It’s Kaylee Mitchell, not sure it’s a secret since it was in Kyle’s newsletter this morning.

Yeah, they probably just said “Wednesday,” but people should know the lap count comes out early. No reason BTC couldn’t have done their Instagram post yesterday. On the other hand, there are only a small number of us in this world that truly care about this (no shade to Kaylee, but really how many people are paying attention to a mid-year track signing on a Wednesday?).
with Emma Coburn in the twilight of her career there's a real opportunity for some new faces of steeplechase. Krissy Gear, Courtney Wayment, and Olivia Markevich look like the top 3 but Kaylee Mitchell, who performed well at last years trials, will definitely be in the mix.
I had to look Kaylee up as I was not familiar with her. 9:24 steeple is a nice performance.
With Pascal gone, does BTC have a steeple specialist? Jager taking over as a coach?
Pascal is the one who supplied Shelby from what everyone has said. It’s a good thing to stay as far away from Pascal as possible
I agree with this. BTC can sleep better at night without knowing Pascal is a part of it. Remember when Pascal trained with Daniel Komen in Kenya. I guess you have to make a choice to cross over to the dark side at one point in your Leo running career. Jerry turned a blind eye to Pascal at BTC too many times
