This is what I got bro it’s all stock idk much about bikes I just wanted a nice road bike . Goes over little cracks and bumps really easy compared to super skinny road tires . Lots of fun to ride in the city .
A carbon-fiber, disc brake endurance road bike built for your longest rides. This setup strikes the perfect balance with its latest-generation Endurace frame, Shimano Ultegra groupset, bombproof Fulcrum Racing DB 900 wheels,...
They mailed it to my door in a box with minimal assembly I didn’t want to go through a dealer and it has basket / cage pedals so I can wear my regular running shoes instead of clip pedals . I am amazed at the dampening of the carbon compared to aluminum.
I've looked at them as an option. Certainly their direct to consumer model saves some money that can be put right into other things needed, especially if it's your first serious bike, computer, more aero parts, clothing, etc. But if I end up pulling the trigger on something I'll probably get convinced to buy a brand supported by my LBS, knowing full well the cost difference.
Having done a TON of research on bikes this winter I'm still surprised about one thing that blows my mind about bike culture. People seem to REALLY care about how the bike looks. As in they're willing to forgive certain aspects or overlook features that might not be applicable to their needs just because of looks. Maybe runners just embrace the fact that we all look like dorks, so who cares about trying hard. Cyclist are a different breed that way.
Down the road if you get in it you may want to upgrade the wheels. You get a lot of bike there for the money.
Even though you assembled it yourself it may be worth spending a few dollars to have good mechanic at a local bike shop look everything over and torque everything to where it should be. A good shop won’t be offended that you didn’t buy from them. They make most of their profits on service and accessories. It’s worth cultivating a good relationship with a good bike shop to keep up with maintenance.
Also, get a chain wear gauge and be diligent with checking it on a regular basis and changing it when needed. I can’t stress chain maintenance enough. Also keep the entire drivetrain clean and lubed. Changing a chain when needed is a lot cheaper than needing an entirely new groupset. Don’t skimp on maintenance.
You could have saved yourself the hassle of buying the bike and just took the $2400 you spent on it and sent that down the drain and “local spray n wash.”
I was thinking I’d just hose it down at the local spray n wash

It’s like spending $2400 on food . You’re literally flushing $2400 down the toilet
Screw the haters. It is a good entry-level bike and you will get tons of use out of it. I agree with getting it fit properly, and I also agree that the spray and wash will do just fine for cleaning. They use high-pressure hoses for cleaning bikes these days. I just use my garden hose. Me, I have Trek Domane SL-5 road bike and a Felt Broam 60 gravel bike.
It's a good entry level bike with nice components on a CF frame. Well worth the $2400. I would take it into a LBS to give it the once over after maybe 500 miles of riding. Canyon makes a lot of very good bikes and have quite a following.
One upgrade I would suggest is to get proper clipless pedals and bike shoes. It will improve your pedaling efficiency a lot.

Hosing down a bike with gentle water pressure and light soap is great way to clean it.
This isn't the 70s anymore... we have sealed bearings.
A hot topic, should you jet wash your bike? Will it damage the bearings? Simon took matters into his own hands and decided to find out for himselfSubscribe t...
I got an Endurace CF 8 and it’s actually sick . Endless fun . More fun than running .
You should like a ChatGPT not Canyon is used to spam message boards because sales of bicycles are way down after COVID, causing huge losses.
Oh, and the Canyon Endurance CF 8 sucks because it still uses old press for bottom brackets that are known to creak and very expensive for the end user:
