Damn. That Parker kid has some range. 10.7 100m all the way to a 1:53 runner? Is he a senior or underclassmen? If the latter, then damn does he have some great opportunities ahead.
Broke is a light way to say it. Absolutely shattered it is a better way. Somebody pay for them to go to Penn Relays, show the Jamaicans real speed.
The relay members:
T. Blaylark: 10.9/22.1(freshman)
Fontenot: 10.5/21.5/47.1
Parker: 10.7/21.2/47.8/1:53
Watkins: 10.02/20.39
some times might be wind aided but you get the picture.

Yeah, I could that this guy has the most upside on that team.
Looks like the team in lane 3 actually would have been leading at the second handoff if they hadn’t dropped the baton. Doesn’t seem like a national record performance to me…sus

The guy on the third leg - looks like a white guy - was hauling!
They beat Houston's winning collegiate 4x1 (39.94) by a second! Houston is no mean sprint program. I noticed Blaylock ran 3rd in the 100m, 10.62, while two other guys on the relay from Atascocita ran around 47.08 in the 400m. They also know how to coach relay handoffs to get those guys to sub 39. Sign the coach up for the U.S. Olympic 4x1 coaching.
Two of those passes were exceptional and the anchor I clocked in 9 flat. Take that with a grain of salt; it's probably more like 9.3+, but he was moving. I clocked it several times in low to mid 38, so 38.9 is legit. They start in the right place as well.

Yeah... how many 21.2 / 47.8 guys would even ever bother to run an 800? Nobody in my state! (New York)
Hey Rojo, how about passing the hat on here to fund a trip to Penn Relay for Atascocita?
Both schools have close to 4000 students. The average school has closer to 1000. Not surprising that they can rip fast relays with the athletic depth. Just shocked it took this long for teams to put it together.
They could give the 4x4 record a scare. Two 47 flat guys, 37 300h guy and low 20.xx dude.
Give it a scare? They would annihilate it.
Let's see if they go for it at Texas relays.
They ran 3:11 yesterday after a 4x100 prelim and final, an individual event prelim and final, and a 4x400 prelim. They should be able to go 3:06 low with a squad like that - unfortunately most schools of the fast schools don't go to Texas relays anymore.
I'm not positive, but I don't think Texas high schools are allowed to run outside of the state during their season. I don't recall any TX schools ever at Penn.

Can someone clarify if this is true?
I think they are allowed to. However, there is a very different reason why Texas schools don't run at Penn relays - Their regional meets are the week of Penn, with their state meet for each division being the week after Penn.
Texas, for some reason, has their state meet 3 weeks in advance of pretty much every other state in the country. No clue why. Move it 2 weeks forward or 3 weeks back and you would see Texas teams running 39 low against the Jamaicans year after year.
