Isn’t Penn Relays bringing back their international relays a week before World Relays? Why would someone like Noah Lyles goto Bermuda. Sport continues to shoot itself in the foot
3 obvious reason for Noah to go to Bermuda 1) Pretty sure he had or has a deal with Bermuda tourism. 2) Where would you rather take a free trip to in April- Bermuda or Philly? 3) Isn't Bermuda relays on NBC? Is there even TV for Penn anymore?
So money, exposure and better weather are obvious reasons I can come up with.
USATF has recently not been pushing Penn at all but are you saying that is coming back?
Planning is well underway, and we are excited to host events across all levels at the 128th running of the Penn Relays presented by Toyota on April 25-27, 2024!

1) uhhh... what?
2) guy can take trips wherever he wants, I thought he wanted to improve the sport?
3) Penn Relays will have significantly more eyeballs and social engagement on Saturday with the World Relays than this sh**** USATF event that means absolutely nothing. Which by the way, what a terrible date during two established meets (Drake and Penn)

April average (High/Low) in Bermuda: 72/63 with 9 days of rain; and in Philadelphia 66/47 with 8 days of rain. Gotta imagine as a sprinter you'd prefer the almost guaranteed (smaller variation between high and low) warm, humid weather of Bermuda over the crap-shoot that is Penn relays weekend, if only for the protection of your muscles

Repping USA @ Penn Relays > fashion walk at Bermuda meet
There was more excitement and tension in the first seven minutes of that video than in an entire year in Bermuda. Plus.....there is no stadium in the entire world that can compete with Franklin Fields woo corner. Nowhere! WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!

Not impressed at all. Have you ever actually been to Bermuda? You can't run anywhere without risking life and limb. There's nothing there ..... except for the wind. The only excitement is if you use the wrong flatware at dinner.

The meet is the last weekend of April, not the average of "30 days has September, April, June and November...."
