Aaron can be seen in the latest All-Access Track video training with Nico Young that was shot in Flagstaff just a few days ago and Colin Sahlman recently said on a podcast he and Aaron are having a blast at NAU.
I randomly saw the same thing - how he was listed on Kings College roster - about 10 days ago and asked someone if he'd left NAU and they said he had not. Not sure how that happened but he's not at Kings College.
He's already run in college a few times (400m, mile where he paced and stayed in to run 4:25 at 7,000 ft, an early xc race or two), though as unattached.
I don’t think you understand what they are saying. He won’t be able to put a uniform on. Anyone can run unattached
Just to be clear, I didn't lack any understanding. They said he would never run in college. He is in college and he has run in races. So, he has literally run in college. What he hasn't done is run officially for NAU.
He could simply be redshirting his freshman year, especially if completing a degree in 4 years is unlikely. It would provide a year of acclimation to college and the altitude in Flagstaff.

Unfortunately he’s not able to run due to bad grades. This is sourced from the NAu team
He’s redshirting freshman year. He needs to recoup 100% from his injury plus acclimate to college running. He’s coming right along in both and will be ready by the fall. Relax with the speculations.

Not a speculation. His failing grades made him ineligible to compete in the NCAA.

It’s not a big deal. Freshman get caught up and fail classes all the time. Hopefully not being able to compete is a lesson learned and he’ll be back at it next fall.

This is pure speculation. Do you have his report card? Or just heard it from a friend who is roommates with someone on the team?
Aaron Sahlman has have been one of the most speculated-about athletes on this board in the past few years. Anyone else remember the 24 hour (or was it 48 hour) ban on Newbury park posting after the NXN incident last year?

I remember there was a thread about that incident, and it was locked

Definitely not speculation. If he or you want to call it redshirting that’s fine. But he can not compete due to failing classes.
I don't know anything about his academic abilities but college isn't for everyone. If he is not cut out for it maybe he should choose a different path.
