Tavon was a senior. Quincy is a sophomore and is running nearly as fast INDOORS, which is about a second slower. Also, Tavon's 45.30 was run at 5000 feet of altitude, giving it about a .75 second advantage.
This kid is a phenom to be sure (this was his first race on a banked track this year, and with a sore adductor). But what I am even more impressed with is his balance of enthusiasm and humility, a real star in the making.
