Who places better?
Who places better?
Parker Wolfe, who is not exactly mile specialist, easily laid waste to Martin at conference two weeks ago. I would be shocked if Sahlman couldn't beat Martin in similar fashion.
two of the more exciting young american mile prospects along with Birnbaum and the UW guys (and i guess Matsatsa? idk if he's run a college mile yet). Excited to see them test out their tactical nous in a talented field. I think Sahlman is probably a bit ahead right now.
Gary faced tougher competition at his conference meet, so I think he’s better prepared.
I'll go with Colin, but Gary has had an all around solid soph year, so not surprised if he runs well too.
I actually have Matsatsa as my underdog pick in the 800m. He has been terrific.
Colin Sahlman I have as a top three guy with a shot at getting past the two UW guys, the favorites Luke Houser and Joe Wascom, in the mile, because he is within two seconds of them in a winning performance and he has an excellent kick. My prediction would be third for Sahlman because Houser and Wascom (who made the U.S. team last year) both have NCAA hardware, more experience, and two second better pr's, as well as excellent kicks, but don't count him out either.
