What a courageous race. She doesn't sit on people. She will make so many teams during her career. The announcers were gushing over her. She is such an inspiration to every young girl in the US.

Were you the one kicked out of colorado U?
You mean 4th US team, right?
Incredible for a 20 year old. Her potential is unlimited. Expect dozens of world teams over her career.
Do you mean U20?
2022 World U20
2023 NACAC
2023 World Rod Mile
2024 World Indoor
Coming soon ... 2024 Olympics
She is a real role model for these younger girls. Just showed them how to quit and not finish a race. Give up when things get tough.
Yep, she sure shows young girls how to make a team! She should write a book detailing her training and her coaches’s methods. Maybe she’ll include how running forged friendships with her teammates and do a “how to handle media interviews!”

During the broadcast they mentioned she was a cancer survivor, that was the first I had heard of that. What type of cancer was it? did it include chemo and radiation treatments?

Give her a break ... She thought she was back at the NAIA Nationals where it was no big deal for her to double back and jog through finals.
Yes, she is a role model ... The type of role people shouldn't want their daughters to model...
The same people all falling over themselves about Kenyan and Ethiopian runners are all mad about Wiley.
Congrats to Atkins for beating Wiley. It’ll take a sub157 at worlds but hoping Atkins can compete for a podium.
Also, she seems like such a mature, kind, good-natured person. I've come away with that impression from just about every interview of her I've ever seen. I know some people have had various things against her, but bracketing that for just a moment, I have a hard time believing that anyone meeting her for the first time wouldn't like her. And I think that itself is pretty strong evidence about who she is.
Yes. It is only a few people on this website who don't like her. The announcers did a nice job building her up. Millions of fans are seeing her for the first time and they will love her.
