It seems to me that the accusations of Plagiarism were there waiting to be enacted before Dr Gay finished her testimony. Is it unfeasible to question whether the selection committee asked themselves "what do we have on her to keep her under control?" before they hired her. Then only consider making offers to candidates (such as Dr Gay) that could be controlled; reject candidates that might have been impeccably qualified bun the committee had nothing on those candidates? Have you seen that in the corporate world ? Good, smart business? Leadership gone wild.
This is reminiscent of the Tom Cruise movie "The Firm". The mob? Are there any business cases on great leadership inspired by the mob?
