The OP strated this thread with a false title saying WIllis would run a sub-4 attempt in 2023 on XMAS day. That's not true. Jonathan Gault has reached out to him and Nick's not going for sub-4 this year so the streak will end.
His 20th was January 30, 2022. So, if he does it now, he gets the masters sub-4 in, maintains the streak (to 21), and gives himself the chance to get the 22nd year knocked out in January in the same training block.
Much as I'd love to see Nick extend his sub-4:00 streak to 21 years, this isn't happening. I asked Nick if he was making an attempt on Christmas and he said "only if they allow 70mm stack super spikes." He's only running 3 days a week and not in racing shape.

Thanks for the clarification Gault, my BS meter was going off when I first saw the thread. It would be great to see of course.
I saw him jogging in a couple tracksmith 5000 heats this summer and he didn't look like he could run a 6 minute mile, much less a 4 minute mile. I pointed him out to a friend and they didn't believe me that he's an Olympic medalist
