I had it a couple-few months back. Same as usual, a couple days of elevated temp and a slight headache. Worst part was not being able to go to work.
But a coworker apparently was hit by one of the new strands a few weeks ago. Ended up being hospitalized for at least a week and has been home for a couple more--he's basically lost the month of November. These mutated strains of Omicron are hitting some people hard--I was reading about it just the other day.*
It seems that there's a really nasty flu going around, too. Looks like treatments for the two diseases are not identical, so if people are feeling sick they need to get tested to know which it is.
I wasn't sure the first time around, before tests were widely available. Symptoms then were mild - fever, headache, fatigue. I had it about 6 weeks ago. I was feeling fine, then crashed hard within an hour. Fever, congestion, cough, fatigue, sneezing. One night I woke up gasping for air several times, not enough to go to urgent care/ER, but I did do a tele-med visit the first thing in the morning. A Paxlovid prescription seemed to turn things around relatively quickly. The annoying thing is that I have had a cough ever since - slowly getting better. This last one really kicked my azz.
I'm on my 7th shot because of my age and i've only had covid 5 times. Vaccines stop the spread of covid. Every unvaccinated person i know has died multiple times 💉💉💉💉💉💉💉🚑⚰
Ok, then the "millions" of people antivaxxers claim are suddenly dying died with the vax, not from the vax. Happy that settles the debate, no more need to desecrate the deaths of random people with sh!tposting about the vax anymore =)
Had it 2 months ago after having it in February. It was just a mild headache for two days and some sniffles. That’s it. Done with getting jabbed. that’s for sure
You guys are still playing the hate vaccines propaganda game? Lol...
Anyway, I have Covid for the third time. Each time has been the same - persistent, low fever and sore throat combined with a little fatigue. I have a friend who nearly died after being intubated for a while. He's unvaccinated, but that's his choice and I've never given him a hard time for it. I'm disappointed that he's fallen for the same propaganda many on here have, but it's a battle I won't engage in because people like that are stubborn can't be convinced once they drink the Fox News Kool aid.
If so, how were the symptoms this time around compared to before?
I, an unvaxxed person, have probably been infected multiple times with a variety of variants since the comical dog and pony show started in March, 2020. Sick one time for 2 days. An inflated nothing burger intended to frighten the populace into compliance.
And to the big pharma spies who may be reading this: GFYS.
In fact my healthy, unvaccinated wife was in DC a few weeks ago, seated next to two board members at a board dinner, one of who had Covid but didn’t know it, and one of who came down with it shortly after arriving back home. One had just had his fifth vax a few weeks prior. My wife is fine. Just another “weird and meaningless” anecdote.
Happy Thanksgiving. I’m thankful for my cognitive faculties and free will that allowed me to refuse this potion and develop superior immunity to Covid on my own. #science.
More likely: A fake tale concocted by a ma ga lunatic.
Amazing how you guys always have to conflate politics and M.A.G.A. with otherwise reasonable people who have a background in “science” and merely were highly skeptical of the vaccines for anyone outside of the high risk groups. I simply read the literature, figured I could cultivate better immunity naturally than with a still experimental LNP-encased (non-targeted) mRNA vaccine coding for one super antigen by simply taking a few well-advised supplements to help mitigate the virus and inflammatory response. I’ve been proven right in my peer group, as has my family and friends who opted out. The unvaccinated among us are not getting Covid again.
So I just had dinner at my brother’s house yesterday and come to find out that his best friend, a pro-vax lunatic who shunned my brother for a period of time, had his heart stop, twice, at home. He had to get a pacemaker implant because he has an “electrical conduction” issue. This is a 50-year old, extremely fit cyclist with zero evidence of any cardiopulmonary disease. Now, can I prove this was the vaccine? No, I cannot. And, yet, I know so many people now who have similar stories. This case will never make its way to VAERS, even if the doctors could shed their cognitive dissonance and be reasonably open-minded about the cause.
Never voted for Trump, but, if you are so simple minded that it “has to be this way,” carry on with your sad, incurious, un-investigating life. None of what I’ve said is untrue, but if you need to tell yourself these “stories” aren’t true, I can’t stop you.
