Should be a fun one.
Should be a fun one.
is Mu running?
her PR team could not be worse.
Cooler than yesterday, decent conditions for the 3K.
Have to sponsors many seats they cannot fill.
Or is the place not sold out.
Wow that place is empty 😕
WL by Wanyonyi in the 800
One race down and the evening is already great.
Amazing racing
finally a 1:42! 2 actually
At least 1:44.63 for Hoppel isn’t too embarrassing even if he only got 6th
1:42.80
Arop with NR
How do you find it on Peacock?
Great meet, but absolutely embarrassing for the US with all the empty seats. Can we try another city to host these events.
Setting the bar high for the races that follow!
NBC announcers called it an upset. Never mind that Wanyonyi is ranked #1 in the world and had already beaten Arop in three DLs this season, including post-Worlds in Xiamen.
I’m glad Arop broke 1:43 and got the Canadian NR. He’s a consistent force and I’ve always liked him, but I was starting to worry he’d get stuck at 1:43.2.
Two 1:42s. Haven’t seen that in a race in a long time. Fast conditions. Hoping for a +1.5 for the 200s.
I hear great things about Portland from across the atlantic.
I want to go one day—I like a venue where every seat is pretty good and athletes don't look like ants. Think I've figured out that you need to book a hotel as soon as the event is announced but then wait on tickets the week of to get them discounted.
Kejelcha is going to win this. Barega vs Jakob for the second place.
Another complaint: Swangard shouldn’t say “6’8”” for American audiences IMO. The bar is measured in meters.
Arop also PB, National record in 2nd.
