INCREDIBLE PERFORMANCE.
3RD BEST MILE EVER. After El Guerrouj and Ngeny.
Worth 3:27 low on 1500m.
Shout out to Nuguse as well who ran 3:43:97 worth around 3:27:40. Nuguse is now a true 1500m contender for a global win or medal.

The most impressive season ever.
Not even the most impressive season this season, that would be Kipyegon
Bekele 2004 also better.
But this was extremely impressive with only 950m pacing. Hayward Field breeze was mild which helped.
Nuguse is the first looser.
Still miles away Jakob.
Gets towed in to a great time by king Jakob.
Not true at all. Kipyegon this year. Bekele, El guerrouj etc…
Race results and analysis calculate Jakob ran 1613.7 meters. It’s tough starting on a turn, but that likely was the difference between him and the WR.
*1613.9
It’s only 4.9 meters, and that would just about take .6 to cover. Technically you might be correct but Jakob started on the outside to avoid weaving. I’d say to assume running exactly 1609.0 in a proper race like this is unrealistic.
Atleast one of the most impressing seasons. And those that might be better was in their prime? Jakob is not supposed to peak yet, but of course he started training som early, so he might burn out earlier, but still we could expect progress atleast to 24-25y.
Im Jakob fan #1, but credits to Nguse anyways, he was a bigger surprise for me today than Jakob.
No words to describe how good this guy is. Moves to mile and goes 3:43.73! Spectacular. His list PRs from 1500, mile, 2k, 3k, 2mile and 5k is jaw dropping. He turns 23 on Tuesday.
3:43.97 for Nuguse???!!!! So much better at 1 mile than I ever imagined. Spectacular.
Both of these guys will lay down a scary 3000 in 2024.
I would rank Coe 81 ahead. Let's wait until tomorrow...
You don't know the meaning of the "." in the times?
You have to be a very special kind of loser to call a sub-3:44 miler 'first looser'. You win the prize, for sure. Life in your mom's basement suits you.
HIS SECOND PLACE FINISH AT THE WORLD CHAMPIONSHIPS WAS PRETTY IMPRESSIVE THO.
Jakob to Norwegian media:
If I do what I'm supposed to, I'll take him (Nuguse). It's good for the others to get a run like that. With so much help, it's cool that they took advantage of the opportunity, says Jakob Ingebrigtsen.

Jakob still a mile ahead of everyone else. scary to watch. Naguse did zero work but you can't take away that he ran 3;43
