A volunteerr moderator deleted this thread as she didn't see a source linked. I told her while we prefer to see sources linked, that we generally believe in free discussion. If we know something is false delete it, but if we don't know, err on the side of free discussion.

I've heard from someone that Brosnan is indeed out. I have texted Brosnan and called him as well and left a message and will update you if I hear anything back.

That's tough. I know people like to pile on him, but you never wish for this to happen to someone.

Got to wonder what the violation was. There's been some speculation about odd things he allegedly has been doing, like coaching NP from afar. I also remember a recent thread alleging he was spotted at Nike headquarters.

Sean was NOT fired due to ncaa violation because Sean did not commit a SINGLE violation. He was fired by power-hungry associate AD, the same administration that continues to treat that program like trash. Horrific display by UCLA admin to fire Sean over POLITICS and leave those student athletes high and dry 2 weeks before commencement of season. Sean is not perfect but this is a disgusting display from UCLA. And yes, he has already shared news with team, who is heartbroken.

Spineless behavior from that athletic department and shame on UVA HC for making such baseless allegations. This whole situation is just WRONG.

So where will he be coaching now?

Unfortunately the part about him being let go is true. NOT TRUE at all that it is due to NCAA violation, as NCAA has already determined no violations took place.

So why did they fire him?

Politics. Didn’t like the perception of the program under him. Ridiculous
