We've been really working on relaunching our shoe review site and are really pleased with what we've come up. Before we open it up to the public in August, we’d like your feedback and for you to submit a review.
Big picture is we we think the shoe review universe is broken- at the best you get a detailed review from one person and almost never anything negative said about a shoe. But what do the runners of LetsRun, the most informed runners on the planet think of their running shoes?
Which are your favorite shoes, which do you rate the best, which are the most durable, most cushioned, best for pronators… it’s time to find out. Our new site attempts to show you all these things.
Behind the scenes, we've quietly received 2,000+ reviews and would now like to make one more public push for reviews and get your feedback before we unveil the site to everyone in August.
Here’s what you’ll find in the new shoe review site:
- New design with a cleaner look
- "Leaderboards" for shoes by rating type (e.g., overall, durability, cushioning, etc.) and also by the type of shoe (e.g., supershoe, spikes, etc.) or the type of runners who reviewed as shoe (e.g., neutral vs. overpronators).
- Shoe pages now provide more information, such as how the shoe compares in overall ranking in comparison to similar types of shoes (e.g., trainers, supershoes), as well as how it ranks in terms of sub-ratings (e.g., durability, comfort, cushioning)
- Shoe pages now also have a comparison table showing how the shoe compares to other shoes, such as the last shoe in the product line or the top rated shoe in the shoe category
- Shoe pages now let you see how the shoes ratings breakdown by rating type not just for the overall rating, but also for sub-ratings (e.g., comfort, cushioning, etc.)
- Easy to read, searchable list of shoe reviews on the shoe page, which includes sub-ratings by the reviewer
- An easier way to search for shoes.
In the coming weeks we’ll open the site to everyone and we'll be adding new features based on your feedback, plus adding more retailers where you can buy the actual shoes but our focus is on just building the best site where you can find the best shoe reviews anywhere.
We want all runners to be able to find a better running shoe for themselves.
