Pessimists will always see negativity in other people's success. I pray that Nawowuna lives long and stays healthy to accomplish many exploits over 10000M women. All the best Grace Loibach Nawowuna 🇰🇪
It was a very great run by her yesterday. She just hung with Hassan and then had the gumption to try and surge! However, what happened on the last lap tells the tale. She needs to at least be able to close sub 65 off that pace if she wants to medal, and she needs to close sub 60 to win the gold someday. Nobody is/was stronger than Gidey at a young age, but Gidey had to improve her close for it to matter.
You don't necessarily need a Kick....Almaz Ayana Anyone?
2 world titles 5k and 10k
Olympic Gold
Unless you are running under 29 these days, you need a kick to medal and certainly to win. Did you see what happened yesterday? Hassan put 10 seconds on Nowawona during the last lap. If she is just going to “strength” her way to the win, she’s going to have to break the world record.
Almaz Ayana was the exception to needing a kick to win a current World or Olympic title. First she didn't have recent in form Siffan or Gidey running the 10000m. But Almaz did have Genzebe Dibaba who was the WR in the 1500n and 2nd fastest ever at 5000m, what did Almaz do to win. Of decent couple of laps in the 5000m she dropped a 8:22 3000n to slowly break Dibaba before the final few laps.
OR.
John Ngugi 1988 Olympics 5000m took of after 3 laps running a 2:02 800m in the heat and then sprinting the straight aways and recovering on the curves.
So, yes an endurance runner can win without a kick but the caliber of 5000/10000m runners they facing today it will be harder. But yes it can be done, so can Grace Nawowuna: yes but not AS likely but only time will tell?
It is not that I prefer not to notice it. It is that I am not wanting to sound like a broken record. You enjoy sounding like a broken record, which is the only record associated with your name.
I really wish you were smarter. I agree with you about dopers in general but I do not feel the need to endlessly repeat myself. There is no blind eye here.
Seriously all joking aside, that is about one of the dumbest most biased opinions of the entire modern era of civilization. '
You prefer not to celebrate...., achievements OF LIKELY dopers and PROBABLE DOPING".
So you are from the barbabic school of stone now and seek justice/truth later on everyone even the suspect and not suspect. Punish and ridicule everyone just in case, huh? You truly need therapy Sir, that's not a healthy way to think.
So by your logic, since Norwegians and Dutch used to have a doping problem in 9tger sports in the past...then what do you think of Jakob I? He was just as impressive as Grace Nawowuna at even an early age than her. So what are your thoughts on Jakob, McColgan, Laura etc are they suspect because all hail from countries that st some point in time had drug clouds over their athletes even if it was in different sports.
I rather enjoy the sport at face value even though I have compete and know the severity of drugs in our sport. I still will not condemn any athlete because of their country by bunching them into one category.
The mods see fit to remove any post here that suggests yet another Kenyan prodigy comes out of one of the worst countries for doping violations in the sport. It's like celebrating the achievements of E Germans in the '80's, but you fans simply don't get that. Kenyan sport has no credibility today which means what this runner has done also lacks credibility.
Come on Mr. Wada, take that evidence to the relevant authorities. It's so disgusting to see how you've taken up the role of taking, investigating ,analysing and coming to the conclusion that ALL Kenyan athletes are doping! Swallow a razor blade or go hug a porcupine! I've never seen such a lambistic and thick pessimist like you. Seems you're suffering from depression. Please seek help asap before it kills you!!
Lighten up a little, yes doping goes on but not just in Kenya. It's one of the reasons I quit competing, some I trained with daily were found using and one who was top 10 in the world in another event. Neither was from Kenya.
So yes it's okay to be suspect of performance but don't be the complaintant, prosecutor, judge, and executioner and solely against one country. There are other countries with just as much doping they are just more advanced TODAY than Kenya.
Also that doesn't mean all Kenyans are doping, so let up on Grace Nawowuna until evidence proves otherwise. A young lady just debut faster than the World record holder Gidey and triple Champion medalist Siffan and you seek to discredit her just by her country.
Yes Sir you really need to find another sport you can enjoy!
