Appleton ftw 4:14.58 1500m. What a close! Last two laps 64.97/61.90.
Maatoug in second. She was boxed in and closed strong as well, 63.09. Tyynismaa spent a lot of the race running on the outside and didn't have it on the last lap.
What happened in the men's 400? It is under review and a Florida State runner ran only 65. Obviously couldn't be interference or anything since they are in lanes.
reviewing for DQ's. Amman Thornton DQ'd for stepping out of lane i think, and the winner Judson Lincoln DQ'd for getting in the Clemson runner's face and taunting after crossing the line
That was one of the most bizarre things ive seen in that 400 hurdles. Girl that won just ran in the wrong lane the whole final 100....What was she thinking?
Yeah, I thought I must have mistook what was happening while watching live, but then the replay clearly showed it! Looks like the results are under review now
Ethan Strand ftw 3:38.13 1500m, 60/53.33 last 800. NCAAs last year was won in 3:45 with a 59/53.2 close, so I think this was a really good performance. I don't know if it's a good comparison, but I don't see why it wouldn't be.
He's on the start list for the 5k, and I'm hoping he runs it. I really wanna see how he stacks up to Wolfe in the 5k, because now he's beaten Wolfe in the 1500 and 3000 (7:46i), but Wolfe has that nutty 13:19 from December. FWIW they ran a 5000 a few weeks ago and Wolfe/Strand ran 13:25/13:46.
i thought i was losing my mind when they didn't say anything and just talked about her running away with it

Going into last event nc state has a chance to podium. They have to dominate the points board to catch uva with Appleton running. Probably win it and place 4 runners.

Wolfe definitely seems like a guy that gets better the longer the race is. Think 10k might be his race in the future as his mileage keeps going up.
Strand's kick is very impressive though, if they leave the 5k til the end he could be a factor just off that.
