Age is just a number.
"You got this." Not really. Low expectations.
Trust the process, to me, means that the coach doesn't know what they're doing. When I coached I could explain every aspect of the "process" and how it was going to contribute to the end of season success.
Yeah, but I did it on practically NO mileage

“I run for fun” I don’t know what that means.

"Twinks are the spice of life!"
If you didn't poop your shorts, you weren't trying hard enough
“the faster you run the faster you’re done”
This is a good one. Justifying your pace on an easy run like this reeks of insecurity. Nobody cares why you ran slower than normal and you shouldn’t feel the need to explain it.
Everyone's a winner !!!
“Haven’t even done any speed work yet”
It means the Process has failed if the Sixers lose on the second round again.
"Live to fight another day" like you made a conscious choice to run slowly on this day
Millions of IG posts on running: “Let’s go!”
Yeah, it is a bit empty headed, as are all slogans.
I've seen people say this to runners who are clearly overtraining. If you're constantly underperforming in races, then something is going wrong in your training, and rather than "trusting the process", you should try to figure out what that is.
That being said, the phrase is applicable to people who stress out during a taper. I've seen so many people blow their race because they're anxious to prove their fitness days out from race day, and they end up cooking themselves. They don't "trust the process" of tapering, which is a trade off. Yes, perhaps you will slightly detrain, but you will get that back (and then some) through freshness on race day.
I’m not a high responder.
