I'm really hoping this is his last race indoors this season. No point in racing anymore, he's proven all he needs to prove with his fitness, it's time to start building again.
I've been critical of the Goose in the past but man, he's making me eat my words. Absolutely on fire. He's gonna embarrass some fools at USAs this spring if he stays healthy.

OAC is going to be well represented at The TEN on March 4th.
YG may very well be a rabbit in one/both of the 10k races . . . or, could jump into the 1500 race as a rabbit or competitor . . .
The winning time was about 2 second off the world record. Imagine in outdoor these guys are running 3:28. It was a fast race, you're just ignorant.
Lol. It's Nuguse fan math. Not surprised. Normal folks would have calculated it as 3+ seconds but hey when you got your Nuguse glasses on you see things differently. Also, Kejelcha ran 3:30 indoors and there was similar hoopla around him as the next big thing. Loads of hyperbole and adulation. How did that turn out when it came for the real thing? Ya, we know
How many times did Kejelcha beat a world bronze medalist with a 3:28 PR? I’m not one of the people handing Nuguse a medal, but his indoor performances have been really impressive, and there’s no reason to think he won’t be mixing it up with the big dogs outdoors.
Yeeeeeeh I came here to comment (not a backward fighter)
and full glory to Ethiopia our mother lands.
Mechaal the 30+ aged beating Fisher (the smart runner) this should ne written in the annals. BTW I had a bad day (not because of this race but things related to my work).

Nuguse looks very, VERY, good right now. That was a rare job of sub-par pacing by Sowinski, a poor job of getting off the line by Nuguse, and far from the fastest track he'll race on this year -- after a long flight to Madrid. ARs are in jeopardy this year.
Yared Nuguse ran from the front throughout and used a strong kick to fend off Mohamed Katir in winning the 1500m in 3:33.69Website: http://flosports.link/3p2...

Like said one of your friends, Katir came back from fatidic second best all times 3000m only a week ago.
As he said in the interview he was there to enjoy jogging.
*there to enjoy losing
Katirs a very good runner, but there’s a reason he doesn’t exactly have a long string of 1500 wins. He’s been beaten by his fellow Spaniards in the national champs and outrun in some of his faster performances. His last 75 isn’t much to write home about. Nuguse was confident he’d outsprint him and he did pretty easily.

Obv if he stays healthy is key, but how often do ppl get hurt when they're in this sorta shape in the middle of the (indoor) season? It seems fairly unlikely (10-15%?) he gets hurt. How often do the ppl crushing indoors get hurt for outdoors?
That was not a perfect race on several accounts, which is how it often happens in global championships and he won. Also, beating an absolutely game (a Spaniard in Spain) Katir is a big scalp.
