I agree with you about the 800m. He looks to be perfect for this distance and it is not unusual that 400m hurdlers go up to 800m. Even 200m runners have ended up in the 800m.
She looked controlled and easy with that 500M WR. She is a threat to win a 400 flat, 400H, and maybe an 800M, I am sure Sydney, Athing and Keeley took notice.

The 400 and the 800 are very different events.
Out of all the women in history who have broken 50 seconds in the 400, less than 5% of them ever became really good at the 800.
So the odds are very much against Bol ever becoming a very good 800 runner.
Yes, Athing Mu has done it but she is a rare exception to the rule.
Another amazing performance. Looks like Syd was smart to duck her.
Femke is on fire. She'll be tearing apart the track this summer in both the 400 and 400h. Syd will lose.
Femke could break the 600 WR easily. She's in 1:57 800 shape too.
Gorgeous. Beautiful voice and great demeanor.
QUEEN of t&f.
I like Bol a lot too. If she would start challenging Syd more and beating her, it would be good for the sport. Having one-sided dominance is not a good thing. I like watching both compete and have a feeling we’ll be seeing some great races between the two of them in the coming years.
That said, your obsession with Bol is borderline creepy. I agree that she’s a beautiful woman but you’re just over the top with your “Queen Femke” bit.

How many sub 50s woman have run the 800 serious and not been 1:59 runners? Most never run 800m cause when you are running 49s, you are world class in the 400m. Better off trying to get .5s faster than than seeing if your a 800m runner .. maybe the 100/200m runners will struggle with the 800, but most of the 400 people will run a decent time.
Are those kilograms or pounds? Usually Eleiko plates are Kg. If so, that is 210 pounds!
Also, great way to break your tibia and end your season. She needs to be careful how she drops that weight.
If it were kilos that would actually convert to 253lbs because the bar weighs 45lbs in addition to the plates. Plus she's doing hang cleans which is a much more difficult lift than power cleans. To be honest I don't think she can lift that much weight and it's 115lbs she's working with.
You're correct she could've really messed herself up with that drop. Usually you would take the weight from a trestle to do hang cleans so you just set it back down and not bend for it. I seriously doubt she was picking up 253lbs from the floor.
It is kilos. She always lifts kilos and posts short videos when she sets a personal record. The one linked here was from a few weeks ago. Bol was indeed sloppy and fortunate on the drop. She also posted videos of 2 x 90 kg cleans and 1 x 95 kg clean just before outdoor season last year. Those videos are still on her Instagram but it's a chore to find them. They aren't full posts. They are the Instagram shorts that are hidden deep behind dozens of other photos and videos on her first album on the left side. It looks like a newspaper with NED on top and BOL at bottom right. If you click into it then advance through everything until 37 weeks ago, the two weightlifting videos are back to back. On the 1 x 95 she was similarly sloppy by celebrating and dropping the bar without paying attention.
That 400 camp places lots of emphasis on weightlifting. Lieke Klaver set a personal best a month ago at 110 kg. Linking that one is easy because she made it a full post:
