yeah i’m sure stanfords just shaking in their boots after seeing how nicos done in college.
people have off years. happens all the time. this isn’t even an off year really, the top 3 have all improved, albeit marginally, despite having setbacks
theres not much room to go as a 17 year old 13:40 guy off the same 60 mile weeks you’ve done for 3 years
cole sprout didn’t get any better his senior year. i think he’s progressed pretty well at stanford so far
Saratoga will win big if their top-5 run at or near their season-best levels. If their 5th girl is around a 138 speed-rating, they will overwhelm the field.
However, they routinely have had one scorer 35 - 50 seconds off in most races, which would open the door for a few teams.
Berglund is a good #6 runner in case anything goes wrong
…but isn’t Soph or junior year a little early to start to plateau? The very top HS performance easily becomes a 200th spot at NCAA.
I would be worried if I was Stanford or NAU if the Youngs and Sahlman top out at current level.
For Doshi it’s even worse. Peaking Soph year is very early.
I hope that they were keeping everything for this weekend.

Nico progressed from 14:59 (junior) to 14:28 (senior) in XC
Sprout progressed from 14:33 (junior) to 14:16 (senior) in XC
Neither of them showed signs of plateau in HS
…not the same thing
Season is not over yet for NP. We will see in a couple of hours…

cole improved by 2 seconds over the mile. i don’t think it’s unreasonable to say that the np kids will as well.
again, they have significantly less room to improve. they’re not dropping 30 seconds at woodward or 17 on a fast course. that would be 13:58 and 13:47 respectively.
let’s see what happens when they start training like collegians
nobody cares about runninglane! the beat are at NXN
exactly, later this afternoon look up the Jesuit results and compare to team results last year for fun, that's about all I'll do. probably not even go back and watch the video.
