Does anyone know, why are athletes only arriving today? In years past most teams arrived late Tuesday or early Wednesday morning. On top of this, it appears that the whole thing is being held at the hotel, not at the actual Nike HQ. Seems strange and kinda sucks for the athletes.
Both Leo and Lex mentioned two things: the CIF SS finals at Mt. Sac the week before took something out of their legs and they may have pushed the 2nd mile at Woodward Park (the CIF state meet course) too hard. But it wasn't really an excuse as to why they didn't run faster. They just reported on how they felt. What I like about both of them is that they respect their competitors. They didn't mention anyone by name but one of them said that there's about ten runners who have a chance to win.
We will find out what happened to Leo in the Call Room's next episode tomorrow. If he was just sick and he expects to be back 100% healthy next week, then Leo #1. #2 and 3 a tossup between Lex and Hunter Jones. Gorze and Burns 4 and 5. Aaron Sahlman, Benne Anderson, Conner Ackley, Devan Kipyego, Jackson Heidesch, Simeon Birnbaum and maybe Daniel Simmons will be battling for the next few spots. Expect Sahlman to catch 5 people in the last hundred.
Teams: Newbury, Jesuit, Crater
Anderson and Ackley finished very close behind Burns at NXR. And Burns finished close behind Jones
unrelated, weather for nxn looks ok. rain friday, not saturday, but super windy saturday
The weather forecast for today shows cloudy, but dry (at least mostly). Tomorrow, partly sunny and almost zero chance of precipitation. Wow, it will be nice to see the races without the course being a soggy mudfest...
NXN athletes have been enjoying Nike Headquarters the past 2 days. Not sure why you thought it was closed. Dyestat has a bunch of images they posted.
Nope those photos are of inside the hotel, not at Nike HQ.
To add insult to injury, the gear this year is also horrendous. Just some stock singlets and shorts. No custom pro-kit jerseys or anything. I can guarantee a lot of the kids will be bummed.

i have the same order for the top 5. maybe 6, i think aaron will finish about there.
my time prediction is 14:38. not ideal weather, but good enough for sure
That hotel must be amazing with a track around it and nike statues everywhere. Impressive they moved the prefontaine hall into a hotel along with the ronaldo field.
Individuals 1- Irene Riggs 2- Abbey Nechanicky 3- Paityn Noe 4- Andie Aagard 5- Helen Sachs 6- Grace Schager 7- Isabelle Allori 8- Brooke Wilson 9- Tatum David 10- Lily Cridge
I think you are underestimating Lily Cridge and maybe Tatum David. I mean Cridge was second only to Natalie Cook last year at Garmin. Not sure anyone can crack those top two but anything can happen after that.
