He was hyped up like the next NBA God. Even healthy, he is no generational talent.

Damn right he is. The details may differ but the outcome is pretty much as I called it.
The most overrated draft talent? You must be 10 years old. It's past year bedtime. There were men drafted before Michael Jordan.
Anthony Bennet would to claim that trophy back
I don't think Hakeem Olajuwon was that overrated. Sam Bowie... now that's a different story.
My main take away from that thread are:
a.)Zion is about as good as people thought. Better on offense, worse rebounder.
b.) many people accurately predicted injury issues
c.) The Jeff doesn't know basketball
Greg Oden and Sam Bowie beg to differ.
Jordan was severly underrated. Zion was hyped as God
Only LeBron was hyped as much
Got to pry it out of Kwame Browns hands first🤣 Zion is more or less who we thought he was. When healthy he is a total beast on O. But he is rarely healthy. Serious a guy averaging 25pts off 60% fg% in 30 mins/game is as good as it gets. Playing 98 games in 4 years isnt...
Hey, I love that the GM stuck with him in NO is none other than Trajan Langdon. It's like the Coach K Bermuda Triangle.
Zion isn't a bust not yet at least. Their team is so good when he is ok the floor and he shoots like 70% from the field
good lord, you seem to be truly clueless about basketball.
How many players from that draft would you have picked over Zion?
Hakeem Olajuwon was a pretty decent player. Sam Bowie was another story, though he was plagued with injuries.
Click bait headline, then a scaled-back claim in the post. Professional trolling.
Zion is 22 years old. Through 99 games, has 25.3 points per game on 60% shooting, 6.9 rebounds, 34% on 3 point shooting, 69% FT.
I thought the title said Alyssa Milano. Never heard of this other Alyssa.
Akeem Olajuwon. What a bust
Well then the fact that he actually exists means that he has exceeded the hype.
Children....
It is not a back to the basket big man's game anymore. That is why 2 big men were drafted over MJ.
Zion has averaged 25pts per game over his career. That's a bust?
He was injured in college and has been injured off and on in the NBA. He's also only a 6'6" PF. Granted big Charles Barkley was only 6'6"....if that....but Z ain't Charles.
Anyway, he is not even close to a bust. Overhyped a bit? Sure. But smart people saw his injuries in college and knew what was coming.
