Valby proved she is faster than Tuohy back in January by running a faster 3000 in much less ideal conditions. Those successive 5000 PRs were just working her way back to the shape she was in before she broke her foot. She in now fully back.
Several runners have run faster 3k's than Valby. Lauren Ryan has an 8:47, Ceili McCabe has an 8:52. Having a fast 3k doesn't mean you have a fast 5k.
Valby's 3k was also in Feb, Tuohy's was in early December.
You might have a point if we were projecting future performances except Valby has already proved she can run fast 5Ks and fast XC 6Ks perfectly in line with her 3000 performance.
And when she consider that Valby ran her 3000 solo 8:53 the day after running a 4:35 DMR split and finished the race on a broken foot then it is definitely better than McCabe's 8:52 which had a rabbit all the way to the last lap on a fast track.

Once could also argue that the runners at BU were hardly in optimum 3K shape right after the XC season....this is pointless...When (if) Valby beats Tuohy (or McCabe) yes, she will be faster. Fair to say she is faster than Chelangat at this point as we just saw that.
That's just two pictures with different lighting and filters you dunce.
You're just mad Valby is more gorgeous than Tuohy.
katelyn is pretty cute and actually looks like a healthy 20 year old girl, and shes the one whos got 85k followers and a fanbase, valby only got jenna hutchins and natalie cooks's bandwagons

1. If Tuohy actually posted on IG regularly she would have over 300k followers. She's more Galen Rupp-style with social media and good for her.
2. Valby is not on PEDs. Legit talent and hard work.
The point is that Astro and Semihaze were creating a false progression narrative to support their accusations. Valby did not get faster while recovering from a broken foot.

There are A LOT of runners in NCAA d1 that can run faster than 4:35. Valby is fast, but the straight line between a shorter distance success and max longer distance time conversion is a big stretch.

The time conversion as argument stuff makes me laugh. Tuohy's 4:06 1500m converts to 14:41 5k on those calculators. Is that within her potential? For sure. Do I think she will run it overnight? Heck no.
When people question Valby's progression they are talking about how fast it is occurring, while injured. Ultra fast times are within her Long Term Potential, I don't think anyone is saying they aren't.
You aren't helping your case by pointing out that Valby is leaner than Tuohy. So a runner who's fatter than another but runs the same times is less likely to be doping?
Tuohy is "fat"? I suppose you think the Belsen look is normal for a woman athlete.
drugs aside, what are the other possible natural ways she could develop the veins at such short amount of time? in her freshman year she didnt even have veins like that
Malnutrition. If you can believe that in an elite athlete performing better than they ever have.

If Tuohy doesn't have veins, that is indeed quite strange.
