I’ve replayed the last 200 a few times and it looks to me like Krop cut Fisher off. Fisher ckearly had possession of lane one, Krop was in two and drifted into one before having clearance on Grant. Krop should have been DQed.

Sounds like you and Fisher have something in common:
Neither of you knows anything about running in world-class races.😅
I’m anon on this hellsite, but I will say this: you might be underestimating my experience.

Then you’d know this is no DQ. This isn’t even in “rubbin is racing” territory. Soft stuff. Reign in your stride and go wide.
Happens in every international race. You know, the ones Fisher never ever runs (except to eff up at WC/OG).
Maybe he could watch a DL race or ten, even if he’s scared to run just one.
I agree Fisher ran stupidly by allowing himself to get pinned on the rail in both races. Hopefully he learned a few lessons for next year and the year after. That said, you can’t just cut in on a guy who has possession of lane one (which Fisher clearly did) and impede him anytime you feel like it.
I may be wrong. I have only seen the original race and not any other angles. I thought that Grant strategically staying in the inside lane much too long and when he wanted and needed to move out, he was boxed in. And then he forced an opening, he crossed legs with the runner behind him and got tripped. This ruined his momentum and could not recover in time.
Kenyans and Ethiopians might be nice guys. They don’t race nice. They are always cutting in and infringing. And if someone does it to them, they push or throw the elbow. grant is a nice guy and races like one. he will have to learn. when Krop started to cut him off he should have put a hand on his hip with a strong shove or thrown a wide bow. Krop would have stayed out of his way. watch Jacob. he gives no F, he cuts others off and uses his hands and arms to protect his space. more aggressive and less polite grant gets a medal.

Jakob aggressively defends his position. His hands were out protecting is space at least three times during that race. He's a smart competitor. Racing at the global level is no place for polite runners
Krop did cut Fisher off. But it is the lack of experience in racing that made Fisher become a victim of such action. Gotta protect your space, that's why you got shoulders and arms as a runner. Fisher also weights at least 20lbs more than Krop, no way he should have let Krop pass by and cut this easy, without having him swing wide first.
Aww did the nice American get bullied by the Africans...boo hoo.
Gimme a break, there is NO WAY Fisher can argue a case against anything that happened to him. Krop did nothing wrong. He was in front at that point. No contact was made between them. Fisher stepped on the railing. Pretty sure Fisher did not lodge a complaint.
Running past his limit? I've watched it several times in slo mo, no body tripped him, no body cut him off. He simply got too close to the rail and had to adjust his stride to keep from stepping on it, it's unfortunate. He clearly was in good stride and appeared to be heading for a medal. When interviewed after, he made no excuses. But running past his limit? Give me a break.
He didn’t get robbed, he did it to himself. His insistence on running on the inside late in races will continue to get him boxed in, keep him from being able to react to moves and move when he needs to. Hopefully he changes this tactic.
Terrible tactics is all that needs to be said. We all learn early in HS not to get boxed. We’ve all run track races with just as many runners.
Not sure it’s been said, but his reaction to stepping on the rail reminded one of Solinsky in the Monaco 5k. Let himself get bullied and then gave up once he was knocked off stride. Hard one to figure.

That's a quality roast.
