Look how far behind Dowling’s 4th their 5th is. maybe their 5-7 are trying to save themselves until state/NXR?

stevens point not in the top 5 is a complete joke
Who are they beating?
Williston I’d say. They are a little overrated. They almost lost to another North Dakota team who wasn’t even at full strength and only has 1 senior not just on varsity, but on the boys roster.
the times they turned in last meet weren’t that great.
which is surprising because I heard North Dakota courses are pretty fast.
Not sure about the course conditions here.
Dowling Catholic and Lakeville North have a good low stick but their 5th men are struggling. They need to close a 4-5 gap or Stevens point might put 7 in front of their 5th.
Rosemount has a good 1-5 pack but seems to lack a low stick. Their only state qualifier in the 3200 (McNeil) has been only their 5th almost all season. This is a surprise.
Iowa City’s 5th is still somewhat far back.
Minnetonka boys might surprise some people if they are at full health.
I think Wayzata is the clear #1 in this region.
Second spot is up for grabs.
It could go to Dowling Catholic, Lakeville North, Rosemount, Stevens Point, or Minnetonka.
It really depends on how well their #5 does.
Not sure about Iowa City though. They almost got beat by Pleasant Valley. they are also lacking a 5th
Dowling won Griak. Dowling won Heartland. They haven't lost a meet. Their coach had the back guys jog the last mile yesterday. They will likely go at state about 14:55-15:20-15:40-16:00-16:10.
Dowling beat Wayzata head to head. So it isn't clear to me.
That’s actually very smart. No need to peak too early.
If Dowling has a good race at heartland and they close the 4-5 gap well there, they should be able to qualify for NXN.
They did. But at Conference wayzata improved a lot. They closed the gap behind their #1. And they put 5 guys under 15:50. That’s the best they have ever done at conference.
Also Wayzata got 3rd at Griak last year but won state and NXR
Valid points. Wayzata may win but it is silly to say they are clear favorites over an undefeated team they lost to.
Also, just because Dowling and Wayzata are the best 2 teams in the region, it doesn’t change the fact that Stevens Point should be top 5 (at least over Williston ND)
There are no clear favourites in this region. I like Dowling Catholic because they have a true low stick. When you are starting the counting at 1 or 2 you always have the advantage.
3 scorers over 17 minutes at sectionals. Come on. Is your son on the team? They would be luck to finish 5th in Minnesota.
I’m starting to wonder if they even raced all out today. They were also missing their #2 guy.
there were so many top teams in the nation that didn’t go all out this week
last week they put 3 under 16 and 4 more under 16:30
also one of the guys in this video believes this team can make NXN this year.
City High had a meet this year in which they had 1 sub 15 and 4 sub 15. They aren't ranked top 5 in the region.
Probly cuz the course they did that on is suspect and cuz they were 15th at Griak?
I'll predict boys course record will be broken unless it is super windy.
Noah Breker will win come back here when he does
14:57 on Gale Woods is no joke. Excited to see what he runs there tomorrow. I hope he wins nxr and he has a really good shot.
