More guys from MN to watch:
Hootie Hage - had a race of his life at NXR. Only 3 seniors finishing ahead of him though. Already got 10th last year. But with such a small senior class in the top 10 graduating, and with some guys really making a name for themselves this past spring, it’s gonna be tough to improve off of what he did last year. Senior year he should be in the top 5.
Alden Keller - finished 6th last year at NXR but no track results last spring.
Elliott McArthur - was the fastest 8th grader in the region in 2018. Could have an amazing senior year. But he’s always had training partners at Mounds View at his level. But this time it doesn’t sound like he will have one at his level so he may have to train on his own. He ran a 4:14 at State in track, beating Aidan Jones.
Cameron Stocke - was the 2nd fastest 8th grader in the region in 2019. 4:11 at state in track at the state meet.
Emmett Gerres - 4:15 in track at the state meet. Also gonna be a senior.
Salvador Wirth - rising sophomore who ran a 4:17 at the state meet.
Tony Provenzano - rising junior who’s been making big jumps in the past couple of years. 9:16 in the 3200. Should be top 5 as a senior.
Andrew Casey and Bryce Stachewicz - both seniors from Lakeville North. 4:15 and 4:13 in the 1600 respectively. They could lead the team to big things. Maybe top 2 at Heartland. This team also have a 9:41, 9:45, and a 9:51 guy returning.
Hamza Mohamed (or whoever the top guy from Wayzata will be). He was the top runner on last year’s team. Last year the highest finish for a Wayzata guy was only 44th place at the region. And they still managed to pull off a victory at NXR. Pack running seemed to work out for them. They’ll probably need one or 2 guys up front this season if they want to be one of the best teams in the nation.
